Can anyone join?
We welcome all individuals involved in traumatic stress research, clinical practice, education and/or public policy who are interested in collaborating on topics of global importance.
Can we join as an organization?
Yes you can. To become a supporting society or partner organization, please get in touch with GCTS chair Miranda Olff.

Do I need to pay to join the Global Collaboration on Traumatic Stress (GCTS)?
Participating in the GCTS is free for individuals. There should be no barriers for people from around the world to join in collaborating on topics of global importance. Please do register to receive updates on projects and activities through the quarterly newsletter.
What is the business model behind the GCTS?
The supporting societies and partners pay a small annual fee used for website and admin costs. Otherwise the GCTS is run by volunteers. Projects may be funded by external funders.
We aim to share the products we create for free, we make the data we collect available, adhere to Open Science, and we enhance dissemination of evidence based interventions.
How can I join a project?
If you have an interest to join a particular project please go to Register and feel free to contact the theme or project leader.

Can I propose new themes or projects?
Yes you can.
Please use the Register form to send your suggestions. Or reach out to the steering committee member representing your society.
How can I meet colleagues?
Join a project team or themed network for regular online meetings on a specific topic. Or join our GCTS conferences (see Events page) or our supporting societies' conferences or annual meetings. Here you can find all upcoming meetings.
What if there is a problem in the collaboration?
Although it is our experience is that collaborating with colleagues around the world in the field of traumatic stress is extremely rewarding, productive and enjoyable, there may also be instances where individuals are unhappy with aspects of the collaboration.
Therefore, the GCTS has five Research Integrity Officers (RIOs) who can be consulted in case of questions or issues around any aspect of research or scientific integrity.
